PURPOSES

Kalahari Technical Institute of Namibia adheres to the following goals in accordance with those stipulated by statute:

  1. Provide educational programs at the certificate, diploma and degree levels and additionally, targeted short courses that equip students with the skills and information needed to handle occupational competencies from initial work entry to advanced certification in a continuous mode.
  2. Offer instruction and training to improve vocational and technical skills to company and industry employees on demand.
  3. Provide relevant technical and academic support courses for apprenticeship programs that combine management and entrepreneurship.
  4. Create and provide specialized training, advisory services, and technical support in collaboration with employers in public and commercial sectors to promote productivty.
  5. Work together with secondary schools, Namibia College of Open Learning, TVT, and universities to facilitate students' seamless transitions between educational institutions.
  6. Give trainees fundamental entrepreneurial skills and career counseling and placement / attachment services they need to succeed.
